The Wealthy Barber, by David Chilton.
 This is a very straightforward and entertaining book that
provides a good deal of common-sense financial wisdom, presented in a
series of practical lessons to a young man given by his savvy barber.
This book's main character (Roy Miller, of Miller's Barber Shop) covers
a variety of important financial topics such as saving, wills, insurance
(the author goes too easy on insurance salesmen, in my opinion), owning
a home, retirement planning, taxes and general financial discipline.
Like The Millionaire Next Door, this easy reading book would be
an appropriate gift for young adults. |
